I've just spent two weeks in Vienna staring in a compelling short titled "Refuge" about a young Jewish American woman returning to Vienna, from where her family once had to flee. Dealing with the demons from her own past, she gains a new insight in the people fleeing their home countries today. I am always happy to support young, new directors who focus on the female perspective like Sara Hofstein did so wonderfully in Refuge. Her father Michael Hofstein, a renown US DoP captured the beautiful images. Here is a picture of the diverse team:
